Hi All, Does anyone happen to have access to records that indicate when the lightweight cars purchased for the Texas Special and Meteor were repainted? I'm particularly intrested in finding out the following: Which cars were painted with the final Pullman green scheme and when they were repainted. Which cars were painted with black roofs instead of red and when Which cars from the Texas Special were repainted with "FRISCO" in the letterboard instead of the Texas Special Script and when. I have photos of cars that fit all these descriptions, but I don't have good data on when when the repaints happened. Thanks, Paul
Texas Special chair car 1251 (ex-Pasadena Hills) had fluting removed and was repainted to Pullman green in May 1960. Meteor RPO-baggage 252 (ex-Valley Park) had the same treatment July 1964. I don't have any info of the various other car paintings (black roofs, ends, Pullman green trim etc.) Tom
