Please see the following links for photographs of Frisco caboose SLSF 979.

This is one of the wood side cabooses with a cupola that featured sloped sides and small end windows. The caboose was originally constructed in 1929. The car is currently on static display, air conditioned and used by the museum for holding birthday parties.

The museum also has an as yet unidentified 2nd Frisco caboose. This car is similar to SLSF 979, but in stead of a wood cupola, this second car has a steel cupola with vertical sides.

The caboose is at the Oklahoma Railway Museum, Oklahoma City, OK. The museum is operated by the Central Oklahoma Chapter of the National Railway Historical Society (NRHS). Please see http://www.oklahomarailwaymuseum.org.

The address is 3400 Northeast Grand Boulevard, Oklahoma City, OK.

    Please see http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&sou...d=11K08XZFT7I0qpSoWXsftg&cbp=12,39.46,,0,5.04.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks!
