There are a couple of trucks on the layout that do not really fit my era, so I am going to part with them. One is a Mack chain drive dump truck and the other is a Mack tank truck. They are 1920s era trucks. These were going to service the mine on the Colorado portion of the layout, but with most of the narrow gauge stuff gone, will not be needed any more. In kit form these are selling in the $18-$25 each range, plus shipping. This version of tank truck is not even on e-bay right now and there is only one dump truck. Lots of cars, stake bed trucks, etc., but not many of these. I am asking $75 for the pair, built and painted, with shipping included. They will be packaged carefully because they are fragile. That is not a cheap price, but they are not easy kits to build. The other option is a trade of some sort. There are not many steam era box cars, wood sheathed or outside braced, on my layout. So something like that would be of interest. Something painted for the 1930s or 1940s is preferable. My layout is basically late steam and early diesel.
Thanks, Tom. They were really cool trucks but just too early for what I am now modeling. Can you imagine what those things rode like? Those appear to be solid rubber tires. Probably noisy as heck, as well.
