The route was operated as Ft. Worth and Rio Grande (FW&RG) Railroad owned by the Frisco. From an old Frisco Lines system map from 1912. Brady, TX is just above the T in Texas. So the postcard is correct - Frisco had a station in Brady, TX. 1931 Sanborn map of the depot Click below for history of the line. http://www.granburydepot.org/z/biog/Railway.htm
Please see the following link for a street side and trackside view of the Brady, TX depot. http://www.flickr.com/photos/reweston-sat/2415735341/sizes/l/ http://atsf.railfan.net/depots/brady.html The depot's agent / operator bay faces north. Railroad west is to the right (top photo) and left (bottom photo). The depot was built in 1912 by the Frisco as part of the Fort Worth and Rio Grand Railway which was sold to the Santa Fe in 1937. Santa Fe operated the lines as its San Saba Subdivision (Lometa - Eden, TX). The segment from Brady to Eden has been abandoned. The segment from Lometa to Brady is now operated by the Gulf Colorado & San Saba Railroad. The depot address is North High and Depot Streets. Hope this helps. Thanks! Mark
