on behalf of SteveM: Bentonville Train Show Time to talk the show up again. February 25, 2012. 9 to 4. We had to move to Springdale, where the show will be at the NWA Convention Center. We're using 3/4 of the big space (they are renting it at about what we would have paid at hotel which has closed.) This is just off intersection of I-540 and US 412, anybody can find it. Quicker trip for you folks south of the mountains. Not much further for folks from the north. We wil have more vendor than last year, 180+ and at least as many layouts. Bring some stuff for the popular vote contest. Amtrak Eagle tickets again for the big prize. Look for me at the N scale layout. Steve M "hanging out on the Bentonvile Branch"
Nice little 2-hour drive for me- already put a bug in the wife's ear. Since I don't usually work weekends anymore these days, I should have the time off. BTW- how far is the A&M shop complex from the convention center? I'm thinking of grabbing some Alco shots while I'm there.
Bob, Right now a new shop is being finished for the A&M so almost all the Alco's are out in the open(good news for photographers). You can also see A&M's new dome car(built for California Zephyr, Ex-WP car). I don't think its really too far though. I plan on getting more pics myself. Ship it on the Frisco!!! Murphy Jenkins
