I joined this site because my grandfather A. F. (Andy) Riehl was a Frisco railroader from 1918 until 1958. I believe he spent his entire career in the River Division. I lived in Chaffee, Mo. until I was 9 yrs old. He was an engineer on the passenger run from St. Louis to Hoxie or Walnut Ridge Ark. when I was young. Thanks for allowing me to join.
Welcome Aboard! As you look around here, you will find multiple people that were born/grew up in the Cape/Chaffee area; yardmaster (Chris Abernathy), tim cannon (Tim Cannon), Karl (Karl Brand), klrwhizkid (Keith Robinson - Cape), kenmc (Ken McElreath - Cape), to name the ones I am sure of. Most of us had some family member that worked for the Frisco as you did. Be sure to ask questions and just as importantly be sure to post any information that you might have to share. Welcome to the group. I'm sure you will be able to find out almost anything you need to on this web site. And if you ever get the chance to, have an operating session on Rick McClellan's layout. I went there for the first time yesterday and I had a blast.
