Howdy folks, The 2nd Annual Frisco Convention finished the final leg of its journey. The locomotives are headed to the servicing area. The run was smooth and without incident. A better way to describe the event might be fantastic. The clinics were spot on. The venue was first class and our hats are off to the convention team from the KC area. We'll name the names in another note. Outstanding job! The clinicians prepared excellent presentations that kept the attendees in the rooms for the entire session. That's a good sign. Yesterday afternoon, the group assembled and discussed the future of the Frisco Historical community, modeling community and FRISCrg. I am pleased with the ideas generated by the group and see a clear way ahead for the Frisco community as a whole. I'll post a separate note with the ideas from the session. Next year's convention location was another topic the group discussed; however, a final decision wasn't reached. The group favored meeting in Springfield, MO, but we need to find a local Springfield person to lead the activities there. The discussions indicated that it would be a good idea to keep a central convention team with added support and leadership from a person from the location of the convention. I'm sure more discussions will appear here in the future. I am sure the date will get finalized as quickly as possible, so folks can plan their calendars accordingly. One of the highlights of the convention was getting to meet and greet so many folks from the forum. Sadly, I wasn't recognized by some, so I have posted a picture of me without a hat to make that easier next time. It was a nine hour drive from Granbury to the Kansas City for me, and worth every mile. Look for a lot more information and comments from other attendees.
