[IMG]I'm thinking of using the stock Bachmann Tender twice. One cut down to be the water tender, and the other converted to oil, using 3 axle trucks.

Any thoughts? will these be a close enough representation?

    Thanks!

I am working on a kitbashing project doing just what you propose. I have started with two USRA Medium Length tenders (89731) and an Auxiliary Water Tender (89921). I am taking notes and writing instructions with pictures as I go (measurements in 0.000" also). My intent is to share my work with everyone. I am about 2/3 complete with the two tenders.
I also recently took a number of detail pictures of the prototypes at the MoT in St Louis. Willing to share those with anyone.

This would be a perfect article for The Meteor! Send it to Richard Napper. Send him an email--I'm sure he would be interested in it.
