Thanks for letting me join. I've been looking for a good place to send some older photos of Frisco Trains so they can be enjoyed. Over the last week I have been studying up about Frisco as I have found a treasure trove of pictures from a 4x Great Aunt who worked for Frisco.
Welcome to Frisco.org Holly! We are glad to have you. You will find a friendly knowledgeable bunch here. Feel free to post your images/photos and related stuff. If you click on media on the upper tool bar beside forum it will prompt you how to upload images, it is very easy when you get the hang of it, you can make albums if you want. Just be advised that after you double click on the image you want to upload give it a bit to upload, sometimes it will take a bit, when it is uploaded there will be another small window pop up and ask you if you want a full image or thumbnail, full images are great if you wish, remember to scroll down and click save media. You may be better off to scan or upload one image at a time for higher resolution. Have fun! We are all looking fwd to seeing your images.
Hello HJo. Indeed welcome to the forum. If your Aunt's photos are original (i.e. taken by her or a family member) you may very well have some historically significant photos that have not been viewed by the general Frisco enthusiasts community as yet. What did your Aunt do for the Frisco? Was she also a hobbyist photographer? She sounds like she would have been an interesting person to know. Andre
She worked as an operator from what I can tell. Most info I have of specifics comes from a news paper. Lots of personally taken pictures and some I'm not sure of she took of if they are reprints.
Welcome aboard! This is a great group to be apart of, you will always find yourself at home here. Fire away with any and all questions, usually someone can come up with an answer.
Welcome Holly, We have a Frisco photo archive on a separate site which would be a great place to share your Frisco photos. Perhaps you might contact one of the Frisco.org staff members about how to share your photos. I for one would be excited to see some fresh older Frisco related photos. FriscoCharlie would probably be the best person to contact about that. But in any case welcome to the group. This group you will find is like a family. You will find that someone is always ready to help. Robert
Holly, Welcome Aboard. We look forward to see more pictures; and they will be preserved if up-loaded to this site. Scan them at a high resolution so they can be fully enjoyed. If you need help deciding where to post pictures, be sure to ask; the forum is organized by content.
A little behind, but I'll echo the other "welcomes." Definitely have enjoyed the photos posted thus far - definitely some good stuff. Looking forward any more that you might have, as time allows. Best Regards,
