    Attached industry schematics include:

Zone 1 - Rosedale Industrial Area
Zone 2 - Industries between Rosedale and 19th Street Yard
Zone 3 - 29th Street Industrial Area (The Hill)
Zone 4 - 29th Street Industrial Area (The Alley)
    Zone 5 - 8th Street Industrial District
Zone 6 - Coburg Industrial District

    Edit 5/4/2024: Zone location notes.

Zone 2 - This zone transitions from Kansas City, KS across the state line just west of Genesee Street grade crossing into Kansas City, MO.

On Kansas side Rosedale Yard is in the Turkey Creek valley, on the Missouri side 19th Street Yard is in the West Bottoms along the east bank of the Kansas River, south of the Missouri River.

Zone 3 - Includes industries from 29th Street interlocking up hill generally parallel to Roanoke Road. This line includes a switchback near the top. It climbs 80' in height along its 5,280' (1 mile) length, an average grade of 1.5%.

Zone 4 - Branches from Zone 3 adjacent to Schutte Lumber, turns to the northeast and generally parallels Southwest Boulevard to its end near the Kansas City Union Station depot.

Zone 5 - Located northwest of 19th Street Yard the zone includes the area industries along Santa Fe Street west to the Armour packing plant. Note the schematic is a mirror image, oriented with north at the bottom and west to the right.

Zone 6 - This industrial area is on the east side of Kansas City, MO. The area was a yard at the north end of the Blair Line until the yard was sold to the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific (CMSP&P).

It is accessed by traversing the Kansas City Terminal (KCT) Railway between their Tower 4 or 29th Street interlocking to KCT Tower 8, Sheffield.

    Added geographic orientation notes.

This was a much larger project to take on than the previous two I worked on, but I finally have a google earth overlay for the Kansas City area done.

There is a good chance that there are a few things that are a little bit off in there. Kansas City has changed quite a bit in 50 years, and the old photographs I had for reference were pretty grainy, so I had to make a few guesses here and there.

Zones 1-6 are included in this map, as well as Merriam, KS and all 3 zones in Lenexa, KS. I had drawn up Olathe, KS but my computer froze up in the middle of it.

There was not very much there, and I did not feel like redoing it.
