Our good friend at K4 decals has at some point this year released his offering for Frisco steam passenger locomotives. The set includes decals in gold with numbers and plenty of options for the striping on the tender. The Frisco lettering on the cab side comes premade with the stripes around it, each sheet has two sizes. https://k4decals.com/products/slsf-...1&_sid=01245c7ef&_ss=r&variant=40973297451167 I haven't seen these decals in person yet, but the other decals I have used from K4 are easy enough for a beginner like me to work with, and look good too.
Has anyone used them. I've run out of my old Champ sets in Bronze Gold. I can't tell if these are bronze or Dulux gold.
I had him print me the freight set in gold earlier this year. They are a true gold. I'll see if I can find them and post a picture later today.
Does K4 make this decal for N scale? Is there a phone number to call? Edit. I went to their website and left a message. Joe
Joe, any sheet of decals on the site can be printed in any scale (including N) and most can be printed in another color if you ask nicely, see below. No phone number, but Mike is good at responding to emails. https://k4decals.com/pages/contact I went out to the layout and found the decals I ordered earlier this year. At the time, the doric stripes weren't available yet, so I requested the sheet of white decals printed in gold. They are a little more on the bronze side than I remember, it depends on the light. I think they will look nice though. Also pictured is the tender of a 2-8-0 that I numbered with the white decals. The outsides are peeling up because I never clear coated over it.
Joe, Please open and use the provided link to the vendor in the first post. The link opens the K4 web site. The very top header banner specifies scale options, discounts available and shipping costs. The site permits you to select and access their product lines, scale options, types of rolling stock, accessory decals, railroads, ordering options, company information and contact information. It also provides a search option if needed or looking for a specific item. In addition to the direct link originally provided, the company is also on Ebay. Again they provide you with options available, ordering information, payment options, etc. Hope this helps. Thanks! Mark
Joe, contact them. He has printed sets for me in large scales he did not offer on the site. He could do the same smaller I’m sure.
I would send an email explaining what you would like to see, and maybe include some pictures too. It may take some time to get to it, but Mike seems to do a good job of eventually getting to requested projects.
I ordered a bronze gold set and then I can check it out fully. See if everything is the right size, etc. Also a color check.
I've not used the K4 Decals yet but I have ordered some for "stock". They turn up this side of the Atlantic just a couple of days after ordering, you can't get much better than that. Rob
