    Thanks Tom,

Its always interesting to see passenger train consists.

Posts 6 & 7 appear to be the Sunnyland.

When I lived in Chaffee, during the early 60's, "meal service" on the Sunnyland was provided by one of the local cafes. Box lunches, snacks, and soft drinks were sold from a large wire basket, which was carried aboard the train during its station stop.

I wonder when the snack cars were discontinued?

Cars equipped with messenger facilities were designated with a 6" gold star, which was generally placed above the car number.

Six may be the Sunnyland, but seven has a sleeping car.

Not sure, I don't have the original sheet. It belonged to a friend of mine and I just took notes from it. There are probably errors here and there.

The dispatcher sheet didn't note the "star" cars.

I'd wager that the Clover Springs has something to do with that ATSF business car, which is tacked on the rear of the train.

Else it was a deadhead move.

I corrected posts six and seven.

I agree with Karl's educated guesses.

I don't have the original sheets to check my notes with.

    Tom,

    Splendid information.

Valuable stuff for modeler and history buff alike.

This does confirm that I'd need more space in my workshop to accurately model Nos 105/106.

    Best Regards,

Eleven or twelve cars would have been more typical for the day and more practical to model.

    Nineteen cars was exceptional.

More for another thread, but I'm curious to see/hear how many other folks are working to accurately model Frisco passenger train consists.

I have a whole bunch of Uncle Pete Spectrum heavyweight cars with clerestory roofs that I hope to Frisco-fy some day.

    Best Regards,
