From Richard Crabtree on Frisco Rails Across Missouri.

One my all time favorite Frisco Trains; The Firefly

Built by Baldwin Locomotive Works for the Frisco Railroad in 1910 as 4-6-2 Pacific Class Locomotive, in 1940 Frisco No. 1031 was taken to the **Frisco West Shops in Springfield, Missouri and rebuilt to the streamline look you see before us.

The Firefly would leave KC Union Station at 8:30am and go through Paola, Ks - La Cygne, Ks - Pleasanton, Ks - Ft. Scott, Ks - Miami, Ok- Vinita, Ok - Tulsa, Ok arriving in Oklahoma City, Ok at 3:45pm.

This photo was taken at Union Station, Kansas City by Otto Perry.
