Folks, Here is a wide view of Hayti, MO circa 1951. I drew this crude sketch based on notes after perusing Sanborn Maps at the University of Missouri-Columbia's Ellis Library. Still to come is a "zoom-in" view of the passenger depot and freight house area, the "shops" and a continuation of the Caruthersville Branch southeast of the junction, including lineside industries in Hayti.
Here is a sketch of the "shops" area in Hayti, MO located northeast of the Chaffee Subdivision, Caruthersville Branch crossing. I am realizing now that the northwest wye should probably connect to the main line somewhere south of where my rather crude sketch would indicate. The key is rather small, so for clarity: 1. Sander's Mill 2. Coaling 3. Pump House 4. Coal Shed 5. Sand 6. Oil House 7. Shop/Engine House 8. Office 9. Stave Mill 10. Motor Car/Track Gang Buildings 11. Water Tank
