That was a short-lived experiment trying to generate ridership for the Meadowlark. By 1958 the run was terminating at West Vienna. This was similar to the sleeper service from Cape Girardeau to Chicago in the 1920's using the Frisco and the C&EI. You've got to give them good marks for trying, Ken McElreath
Seems like it was a gallant effort; I suppose it was designed to allow connections from "Memphian" #806 slated to arrive in Chaffee around 3:25am (based on 1956 ETT)? Hard to imagine that they would have thought it competitive with the IC's service between Memphis-Chicago. This would be fun to model and operate.
