Today, I finally saw my first piece of Frisco equipment in original paint outside of a museum. While out burning brush piles, a south bound manifest pulled up with an ex Frisco gondola in tow, and it just so happened to stop right in front of where I was standing. My brother was a little confused why I stopped mid sentence and got my phone camera out. Looking at a roster online, the Chicago South Shore has a handful of old Frisco gondolas running around in coil service like this one.
There are still a few Frisco covered hoppers drifting around. Next time I see one I will try to get a picture.
