Day 48, Absolutely nothing happened today except the doctor came by taking to Cynthia about why she can't speak. After a bit he said "I don't know what to do" then he threw up his hands and walked out. We are telling everyone that we are going home tomorrow whether or not they like it. Getting real tired of this kind of attitude. Joe
Ugh. At least he's not trying to snow you guys. Honesty is preferred over hubris. Hopefully getting back home and into a normal routine will help. The body is amazing given time.
Keep your chin up joe. Good luck getting her home. Maybe that will pick her up too getting over all this.
Of course we won't leave until we know that Cynthia will be safe at home. Just trying to light a fire so we can go. I was venting a bit. LOL Joe
Day 49, The fire was lit, three doctors, two home services representatives and a speech therapist came by today and got the ball rolling on getting Cynthia home. We are looking at maybe Friday as her release date but it could be a little later. At least now they are explaining why the wait. They are waiting for her throat to heal some more before she leaves to make sure she has a fighting chance at home. Today is a good day. Joe
Day 50, the big 5-0, One of the doctors just came by and said Cynthia is doing much better today and she may get to go home this weekend. This is very encouraging news, we are excited. Joe
Day 51, Guess who is on their way home. All we are waiting for is a wheelchair to take her to the truck. Joe
Thank you everyone for your thoughts and prayers!!! It was a tough time but it's over now and our dogs are happy. We appreciate your support, you guys are the best. Joe
