I'm looking for some information on Teddy Roosevelt's hunting trip in 1905, during which he rode a special train on the Frisco from Vernon, Texas, to Frederick, Oklahoma. Does anybody know the consist? Are there photos?

    Your help is greatly appreciated!|-|

A US-flag-bedecked and a bunting drapped 4-4-0, number 2234 (nee #8 KC, Ft S & M) pulled this train. A photo of the locomotive appears on p. 111 of Rails West, by George B. Abdill. Published during the 60's this book sometimes appears on EBAY

Thanks for the tip, but that's where I saw the photo. I was hoping somebody might have some more info. If only we could ask Dr. Wood.
