    Folks,

I post this at the suggestion of an active member who has been discussing this issue with me.

Some of us use our real names as our usernames, some use a portion of their name (I could alternately be Charlie D. or FriscoCharlie), and some folks have a moniker that gives no real indication as to who they are. Some folks have their name in their signature.

It has been suggested that everyone put their name (or some portion of it) in their signature in order for people to more easily recognize them as they post. It has been pointed out that some people do not recall who a member is if his username gives no indication, especially if he/she is not an every day poster. I realize that some folks have privacy concerns, etc.

    Just food for thought...

I like the idea. I think the first name is all that is necessary. Maybe a last name if there's more than one with that first name (example, all the bob's we have) I've had mine in my signature for some time now.
