With many former Frisco employees and Frisco.org members having served the Armed Forces in peace and war, how many military installations and support facilities that supplied material to same, were served by the Frisco as well as current BNSF operated Frisco trackage?

Regional and shortlines operating former Frisco track can also be included.

The Kansas Army Ammunition Plant was served by the Frisco until the line was abandoned. I believe that was not too long after the merger with the BN. The BN served it via trackage rights through Oswego via the Katy after that.

Also in Kansas, Kansas Powder works later known as Spencer Chemical north of Riverton. Plant was built during WWII by the army to make munitions powder and was served by the Frisco from the north with a siding east of Crestline. Later after Spencer took it over and made fertilizer it became a large shipper with the Frisco. Spencer was purchased by Gulf Chemical who shut the plant down around 1990.

Thanks for the correction. Just happy to get the "Fort" part right.
