Folks - An interesting article from the N Scale Limited site, with some good era-specific information, on using modern conveniences to establish the era of your layout. http://www.nscalelimited.com/2011/03/21/realism-101-modern-conveniences/ Best Regards,
That's a great idea. When I start work on my layout, it will be set in August of 1990, and I have been trying to think of things to reflect that. I had considered a TWA billboard or something along those lines. One thing I have been struggling with is trying to find what types of tractors were in production and if there are models of them. An industry on my line is a ag equipment supplier, and I want era correct cargo.
Matt, I dare say you could easily find the information you want online. When I used to underwrite farms, I was always pleased with how much information I could find on farm implements with a quick search, such as manufacturers, production years, models, etc. Is your industry a dealer for a specific manufacturer (e.g. John Deere, Case-IH, etc.)? Best Regards,
I am open to anything that works, but was leaning towards Case or John Deere simply because I already have these plants in my database, haha. Any direction would be appreciated - I know nothing about tractors, except that John Deere's are green.
