Hi Andre, When I was in Ft. Smith last, I worked for a printing company down on Wheeler. In MN, i was in inspection/quality control lab/.
Hi 3DTrains... ummm... uhhh.... Marc???? Paul: See my reply in your thread. Also, what line of work are you in? I'm very unfamilar with the job situation in Fort Smith.
Hey Andre, I got your name from the moderator and wanted to say howdy and see if you'd be interested in chatting sometime. You see, I just joined the group and am considering moving back to AR from MN. My folks live on 50th St in Ft. Smith by the college and they are getting old and I may be needed to help them along in their advanced years. I am flying down there next week for a 5-day visit, among other things, to get a feel of the job situation, etc. Anyway, if you'd like, I'd love to touch base with you while I'm down there. You can reach me either here or my email is renzypaul@gmail.com. Take care! Paul
Andre You got any B/Y GP7's?? for sale Regretably, I will not be attending the convention to get into a bidding war for your stuff. Tom Holley
Andre, I have researched to some degree, the grade up and over Winding Stair Mountain. Satellite imagery clearly shows the grade and even Lamberson Wye on the south side. Have you ever explored this area? I have considered making a trip up to the Talahina area and hiking up the grade. This would have to be done in the winter months as I do not care for Rattlesnakes. Would you have any interest in joining me on such a hike? Jeff Cooney, Lindsay, TX
Hi Murphy: I just figured out how to access this Visitor's Message board. Sorry for not getting back to you quicker. I assume you've already taken your first "student" trip? Hope all went well. Are you going to be on the evening Winslow train tomorrow afternoon? I am called to be the Engineer on it. If so, come up to me and say "Hi". Andre
Hi Andre, This Saturday I'm going to start as a volunteer conductor on the A&M excursion train. I knew that you worked for the A&M so I was wondering if you could give me more info as to the duties I'll be assigned. I was also wondering what days you'll be an engineer on the train. My friend Barry sugested I volunteer and I want too. I just want to know what I need to help out. Thanks sincerely, Your Fellow Frisco Friend Murphy Jenkins
Hello Andre, My Thread "Saving The Eureka Springs & North Arkansas Railroad" has been closed, but you can visit the Yahoo Groups for Saving The E.S. & N.A R.R. at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/savingesnarr. Thanks, Brian Waller
Andre, On Sat March 21 we are going to operate my railroad at 1 pm and the session lasts about 3 hours. Chris Abernathy and Mark Davidson from the Frisco website will be here. Let me know if you can or want to join us. It will be fun. Rick
Wow! A mini-forum of sorts! First forum I've been a part of that had this feature. Hi to gla1975 and Ed Adams! Ed: My lands... LOOOONG time ago. What was that, early/mid 90s???? The old trailer was rotting out from under the layout. In early 1998 Sharon and I made the decision to purchase a home and move out of the parsonage we lived in at the time. Part of the upheaval involved salvaging what I could from the layout, then gut it and sell it. I have since migrated on to two mediums: S scale and V scale. You can read/see about both of them by taking a look at the threads I am participating in here at the Frisco forums. I understand you're still in the Poteau area? If so, we need to hook up again! My phone number is in the Poteau phone book. Give me a call sometime and we'll try to get together. Wow... this forum is a NEAT place. Andre
Greetings! I remember reading your stories of the Frisco in NW Arkansas, as ell as the wonderful pics. I also remember seeing your model F-units. Now if you can get Ed Adams to join.......... ;-)
Hi Rick! I remember you, too! I also remember you had a fantastic layout underway. Hope all is well with you and yours. Looking forward to interacting with many of my old Frisco friends/acquaintances and making new ones. Andre
