I've had one of these funky cars for many years. I used it to haul ties on the Annapolis layout. It's so ugly that it is charming.
I used twigs from the yard cut down to resemble log loads. I also have two red cars for M-K-T, that one is loaded, the other empty.
The SLSF car that is loaded has Kadee #5s with body mount boxes, as does the red MKT that is loaded. The empty MKT and SLSF cars still have their original talgo trucks retained and have their original AHM boxes like the one in this picture.
Guess what Doug, Way back when I was a little kid, I used to put animals like tigers, elephants, hippos, etc in them. Kinda like a zoo train, or at least in my own mind way back then.
