I am Daniel. I collect Frisco, MoPac, KCS, and Rock Island in N scale and have a small layout. I'm primarily trying to custom paint Frisco right now so I'm here looking for help and data. Thanks!
Welcome Aboard, Daniel. For painting tips, be sure to use the Search engine in the upper right of the screen, Here are some examples of what might be found using just the key word painting; http://www.frisco.org/shipit/index.php?threads/the-paint-question.2090/#post-60270 http://www.frisco.org/shipit/index.php?threads/f7a-paint-colors.7951/#post-58567 http://www.frisco.org/shipit/index....risco-brass-caboose-ho-scale.6335/#post-49282
Welcome aboard Daniel! A collector of Frisco N Scale is always welcome in my book! If you are looking for anything, let us know and if you are selling, we would love to know! Thanks, John Moore
Wow. Small world. I think it was you I recall when you were just a small lad running about the club layout over at David McDonald's way back in the mid 70's! Hope your dad is doing well. He's a great guy. I'm hoping to hook up with him some after I retire and have more available time. Next time you talk to him, tell him "Andre" said HI!!
Is this Daniel "Cat with the Melon Helmet" Dawson from YouTube? Thanks for the JMRI help with the InterMountain FP7A units! JFM
Hi Daniel - I think my son Kurt and I met your mother way back in 1979, 80 or 81 at one of the early Springfield RR meets. We were having lunch or breakfast (?) at the Howard Johnson's (?) and sat next to a nice lady that we struck up a conversation with about the RR meet. We said we had attended, and she said so did her son, Danny Dawson. Sometime later I saw your name and picture in one of the FMIG newsletters. Anyway, welcome to frisco.org. Nice job on the SD45 SLSF 911. What model is it based on? Ken
Last name Couch? Or was it Crouch? Haha! I remember your name as well and just about as rusty. I think you will know Zach Hilton though and he's just crusty, not rusty.
It is I. I forgot about the melon cat, haha! I'm just in the habit of not putting my pic out there too awful much, though I guess it hardly matters anymore. Online privacy is not what it used to be. Of course, with a group like this I don't mind as much anyway.
Wow, I had no idea. I was so young I don't remember it. I was away from trains for many years but about three years ago I got the bug AND had some spare time and money, something I did not have for many years.
