When did the Frisco add the extra digit to caboose numbers?

For example: when did the 200 series wide-vision cabooses become 1200's?

    Anybody know the year(s)?

    Thanks,

    Tom G.

    Second half of 1968.

It was done in conjunction with the renumbering of the covered wagon.

The new computer system required unique numbers.
