Intermountain has CANCELLED both the FP7A (499545 & 49945S) and F7B (45945 & 45945S) in B&Y. Paul said in his original post in this thread that he wondered if these would ever see the light of day. Well they didn't!

According to this link, the N scale FP-7's and F-7B's have been moved back to April, evidently not cancelled (Yet)!!??

PS: In the post below, I wrote a "scathing editorial" about IM, which I deleted after reading the link above. In case they do cancel the FP-7's, I'll repost it.

But I was talking about the n-scale version, not the HO one ( this thread is in the n-scale diesel forum.... )

Fortunately, the n-scale version is still on the list.

Incidentally, the HO scale B units are still on the list:

Hopefully - the HO Frisco F7B in b/y is "still on the list" because Intermountain feels an obligation to correct the screw-up they produced (*) with the first release of these units in early 2007.

    Hope so!

    Ken

(*) They released it with dynamic brakes even though many of us told them that was incorrect. The FP7A, released at the same time, correctly did not have d/b. Go figure!

ps - I just looked at their page listing the upcoming releases, and they still show the F7B with d/b !!!

I wonder how IM thinks Frisco F-7 B units will sell with no "A" units (F-3/F-7/FP-7) to lead them???

LOL. Now that's funny, I don't care what anyone says. Maybe that thought should be shared with Intermountain.

I don't think Intermountain would be interesred in what I (Or basically anyone else) has to say...

I wonder of intermountain is having trouble getting factory time in China for these. I notice they have pushed back all of their diesel units to at least June.

The Intermountain release of the N scale black and yellow Frisco FP-7's (And F-9B's) has been pushed back AGAIN! This time to January 2013 (From July 2012)!!! That's AFTER the Mayan Calendar doomsday!!! Before anybody starts in, I don't care how much trouble the model manufacturers are having with their factories in China, nor do I care what they do in (RED) China. If I could send an insulting, humiliating message to Intermountain that anybody there would bother to read, I'd do so! I have some Yankee dollars to spend on some Frisco FP-7's if SOMEBODY will only deliver them...

It looks like we'll have to make them ourselves in the USA for a blast-from-the-past change!|-|

I am not the least bit surprised about any news about model railroad products coming out from China. It just gets me down to the point that you do not know who to believe is telling you the simple truth, if any, on why production runs are not being met. What they are doing is manipulating a captive audience. Don't hold your breath, it maybe longer than the new date announced!
