Thanks Ethan. I am thinking “Lee Walk” which was NNW of Weir (edit: or "Humble" which was south of Cherokee, West of Weir City). Maybe a scene like this one from Empire City:
Got a little update that goes along with Workshop Wednesday here: http://www.frisco.org/shipit/index....layouts-the-thrill-and-the-agony.12464/page-7
It’s almost Wednesday here in Ohio so here goes.. All customer stuff this week. Got stuff finished for a couple people. The CSX SD50 was a P2K that had horrible factory paint. It was black. I repainted to a closer to correct blue. The 86’ cars are latest Tangent releases. Still campaigning for a Frisco release. Any one here can feel free to suggest it to David also. Wink.
I also built up a couple old GHQ forklift kits for my main customer. A pain to build but painted up they look pretty convincing.
Thanks Andre. Yes those forklifts are HO. They are white metal kits with the ROPS which is a little photoetched brass sheet that needs folded up and attached. They are kind of a pain to build because they are from very old molds is my guess. But they include lots of spare parts at least. The Badger Modelflex Trailer Train color I had on hand seemed pretty close to the old Hyster yellow. Thanks again.
Small update of my latest exploits on the workbench: http://www.frisco.org/shipit/index....-thrill-and-the-agony.12464/page-7#post-91867
No ROPS cages in the sixties - my engineering boss at Hyster was on the SAE ROPS committee in 1971. Gasoline or diesel power - now days most are propane.
Yeah if these were for me instead of customer I had thought propane tanks would be neat to add. The ROPS with these kits is a newer addition to the kit than they had originally.
