Texas Special Dining Car On The Meteor - SLSF 650, Alexander Doniphan - Photographs Request

Hello All,

We know from Fred Frailey’s consist books that SLSF 650 “Alexander Doniphan” was assigned to the Meteor in the fall of 1959, presumably to allow the 1550 and 1551 to be rebuilt for mid train use, which happened at the same time.

We also know that SLSF 650 “Alexander Doniphan” was retained until after the reduction in service in 1965. If I recall correctly, the car was sold to GN in 1966 .

Now the question: Does anyone know of any photographs of SLSF 650 “Alexander Doniphan” in the consist of the Meteor?

This would likely be in the time between Frisco dropping its portion of the Texas Special and 1965.
