    Continental Oil Co., Cape Girardeau

    Continental Oil Co., Cape Girardeau.

Wide-angle view looking northwest showing both warehouse buildings and tanks in the background.

This complex shows up on Sanborn Fire maps through the 1960s, at least according to the ones at the University of Missouri, Ellis Library Special Collections, with a single spur serving.

It looks like the Missouri Pacific (MP) may have had access as well.

See #5 on the Cape Girardeau area track chart that I have posted.

I believe the track would have been in the foreground.

    Chris and all,

If I remember correctly, only the MoPac served the Continental Oil Co.

The Frisco's wye passed right by it, but there was no set out spur.
