Chadwick Flyer Trail & Recreational Park

Discussion in 'New Member Introductions' started by Jacklyn Aldrich, Sep 24, 2021.

  1. Hello all! My name is Jacklyn Aldrich and I live in Chadwick , MO. In 2016 we (Chadwick R1 School District) applied for CDBG funds to assist with funding required to construct the Chadwick Flyer Trail from the Chadwick Community Building in Chadwick, MO (where the old depot for the Frisco rail line steam engine "Chadwick Flyer" was located) to the local school district. In 218 matching funding was acquired through the Recreational Trails Program to complete the project. The trail runs 1.5 miles south from the depot along Rose Avenue and Hwy 125 south to the entrance of the Chadwick R-1 School District. The trail and recreational park will be listed as a historical marker for 25 years through the RTP grants management program. We as a community are very excited about this project and very proud of it. I am trying to locate information, pictures, maps, ect. of the Frisco's Chadwick Flyer. If you or anyone you know has any information, please contact me. Thank you!
