Please see the following link for a photograph of Frisco caboose SLSF 11??.

This is one of the wood side cabooses with a steel cupola that featured vertical sides and large end windows. The caboose was originally constructed between 1928 and 1942.

The caboose is a very sad state of repair. Physically it is missing its end steps, trucks and under body details. An extra opening has been added between the end cupola windows on the B end. The car has been covered with a metal sheathing on the right side that is coming off and in need of repair.

To date we have not been able to identify this specific's caboose car number. Anyone with the ability to do some field investigation to help us identify this caboose is encouraged to do so. If you have additional information on this car's chain of custody, ownership or current status please share it in this post.

This caboose is currently stored at a local business just south of I-40. This is between Interstate Highway Exits 157 and 159. Interstate 440 is to the east and Arkansas Highway 161 is to the west. U.S. Highway 70 is to the south. This is on the east side of the metropolitan area in an area that may also be known as Lansbrook.

The address is 6640 Neeley Rd., North Little Rock, AR 72117-3621.

    Hope this helps.

I believe this is the same caboose that once was located at the Little Rock Union Station, part of a restaurant.

I remember seeing it in the 1970s, but I do not recall seeing a road number.

Has anyone seen this caboose lately in North Little Rock, AR?

Mike Sypult indicated it may have been located at the Little Rock Union Depot.

Can someone help identify the caboose number?

    Hope this helps!

    Thanks!
