    Great photos!

    Did you know that the Alco FA-1 and PA-1 where known to have a very distinctive diesel whine and bellow diesel exhaust high into the air when they were first fired up?

    I can remember as a little boy being scared of them because of the diesel whine noise and the huge bellows of smoke.

    How the times have changed!
