A friend just posted a photo in Facebook of BNSF 483110, a 3-bay covered hopper with grain gates and a "FRISCO" Coonskin on the side. I will check whether he will let me copy it for posting here. It was on the GALMEM (Galesburg-Memphis) manifest train southbound passing Weil Avenue in St. Louis just out of Lindenwood on the River Sub. The time of his posting was approximately 1:30 PM CDT.
Here are photos Scott Nauert took of the GALMEM on September 13, 2017 around 1:30 PM at Weil Avenue in St. Louis. "Ship IT on the Frisco! The GALMEM just went by Weil Ave with a little surprise tagging along. Enjoy, -Scott," he said. Everyone here probably wants to see the hopper, so I left that full size. Those curious about the power can click on the thumbnail to see non-O&W or B&Y locomotives pulling a train southbound on the River Sub.
Assuming this is the only hopper with the coonskin, I saw it a week or two ago headed South crossing Imperial Main around 6am. I was watching the train go by in front of me and up pops the Frisco. Does anyone know the story of this car?
I saw the one with the Green herald on it in Oklahoma last week, looked like it was peeling on all sides, soon to fly off in the next big rain storm...
