When did the Frisco get the ATSF CE-1 cabooses?

And does anyone have photographs?

 

The ex-Sante Fe cabooses were spread throughout the SLSF 1100-1199 series.

So to give a basic answer, between 1968 and 1971.

 

They were sold before the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe (ATSF) started their caboose rebuilding program.

They did not receive the sealed side windows and other modifications associated with the later Santa Fe caboose modernization program.

As a result, they were not rebuilt to Santa Fe Class CE-1 cabooses.

Therefore, they did not get a ATSF 999000 - 999314 series number.
