I've been a longtime member, not a prolific poster, so here goes: My name is Bob Thompson. I'm a resident of Sherman, TX, and have lived here for 6 years. Married, 4 kids, work nights at the local hospital. First introduced to the Frisco when my family moved to Afton, OK in April 1973- we lived a block from the Cherokee Sub, and more than once was woke up by QLA ripping thru town on its way west to Tulsa. Learned my stock in trade in Ft. Smith, AR (where I got my first cab ride, on GP15 100 on the Ft. Smith switcher), began modeling the Frisco in 1984 after being exposed to the FMIG and Richard Napper. Met & married my spouse in 1987 in Hugo, OK. Avid railfan, having shot trains coast to coast, modeled a lot in HO, but now in N scale due to space restrictions. Even though I also like the MP, Katy and Santa Fe, I still prefer the Frisco. I'm grateful to groups like this for the information available (plus my memories of the Frisco in the '70s) to make it possible to model this fallen flag.
