    Folks,

While looking over the 1600-series Russian Decapod photographs at the Springfield-Greene County Library, I was intrigued by this photograph taken in Ft. Smith, AR in 1948.

Observe the odd rolling stock on the left side.

The only number I can make out is "...722". Based on the siding my guess would be a caboose or company service car. The placement of the windows is quite odd placement of windows.

    Any clues?

  2. I think it is a caboose because some of the Frisco wood cabooses have high windows such as the SLSF 1160 in Fort Smith, AR but many have the top windows boarded up.
