West Tulsa, OK - Roundhouse And Turntable - 6 Stall Foundation Plan - 2/14/1930

The drawing doesn't give the complete plans for the West Tulsa roundhouse, but it gives the over-all dimensions and layout.

West Tulsa, OK - Roundhouse And Turntable - Proposed 10 Stall Addition - 2/24/1945

Here is a generalized proposal to "cover" ten existing tracks and service pits with a roundhouse.

There are no Sanborn or other maps of that era, and the 1957 topo and 1967 Historic Aerial both show the 1948 version in Karl's post of June 6, 2008.

Was this 1930 plan ever built?

There is a blank space on that side of the turntable, but no indications of foundations or pits.

Also, the first Frisco roundhouse with 4 stalls, wood, across the river, 3 blocks from the depot, was apparently out of service in 1894 and demolished by 1896 per Sanborn maps.

Was there a Frisco roundhouse in Tulsa between 1894 and 1930?

    Thanks,

    Richard
