Urgent Prayer Request

I know this is way off topic but I put it where I hope the most people will see it. On Aug. 11, I learned that the kidney cancer I had surgery for on Feb. 20 has shown it's ugly head again. Back in Feb., I was diagnosed with a tumor in my left kidney. I had surgery to remove the kidney and everything looked fine. We even moved this summer - only one mile - but to a home of our own - and moving next door even is still MOVING! Around July 15, I began not to feel well. After a few trips over a few weeks to my doctor, I had another CT on Aug. 9, and other with contrast on Aug. 10 after being admitted to the hospital. An MRI on Aug. 14 confirmed the cancer's sneaky comeback through a back door. Apparently, just before the kidney was removed, the cancer sneaked out through and hid in the blood stream. They say I now have renal cancer that has spread to my liver and spleen. Pressure from the spleen tumor causes me pain from time to time. I mostly lay on my back or recline in my recliner. Any other positions cause my pain to resurface more rapidly. I can walk, and I can still get a shower, but both tire me out very quickly. I have a 13-year old daughter and an 11-year old daughter, not to mention a wife of 17 years to think of. Naturally, I have decided to fight this with everything I have despite it being stage 4. I have an excellent oncologist as UAB who specialized in this very type of renal cancer. She said, "We're backed into a corner and we're gonna fight, scratch, and claw with everything we have." Not only do I have my family and friends to think about, but I have a brand new 10x14 storage building that desperately needs me to fill it with an HO model railroad layout. Video games will only carry a model railroader so far, and I don't see myself getting into V scale... at least not any time soon. Please keep me in your prayers. - Brandon

Absolutely. Prayers coming to you and Craig's cousin also. Research some of the non-standard treatments that are available that may help while the doctors do their thing also... Diets and such. Ultimately it's in God's hands.

I am not scheduled for surgery. I am taking chemotherapy and there is talk of other treatments very soon.
