Trains 5 & 6

    Quick question -
    When Trains 5 & 6 operated in the 1950's, first St Louis to Springfield and back, then later just to Newburg and back, what diesel motive power did they rate? Did they use E's, or did they use GP7's and/or FP7's usually?

    Thanks. I never rode them, but the later version of Trains 3 & 4 were on much the same schedule down to Springfield.

    All I remember are the FP and GPs. I liked them better in steam.
