Trains are fascinating. It is fun to watch one go by and wonder about the origins or destinations of the freight in the cars. Back in the 70's, it was difficult to be in the right place at the right time to see a Frisco train. I figured buying a house along the tracks would solve the problem. Boy, did it ever! The first nights, the headlights shone through the drapeless windows and the house shook. From 1988 to 2002, I got my money's worth of principal. interest and taxes when 1522 would pull a train through once in awhile.

I have taken a few pictures over the years, unfortunately more in later years (after 1980) than earlier ones. The A-B-B-B-A set of F's out of Lindenwood was quite a sight in the late '70's, but I have no picture of it, just a memory.

This looks like a very fine on-line community with lots of people and archive resources. I am looking forward to stopping in and seeing what goes on.
