    Hello everybody:
I collect railroad artifacts. My father in-law was a conductor for Frisco and later for BN when the Springdale AR station shut down and finished his career in Tulsa. My family owns 2 Rock Island passenger cars we moved to Lowell AR in 1975. They were purchased from a scrapper in Chicago IL and moved to Lowell and reset on Beaver Lake. We have recently purchased a Burlington Northern caboose that appears to have been a Frisco and Southern Pacific car earlier. We believe it is a Pullman bay window caboose and are trying to further identify its origin. We are moving the car from Picher OK after the devastating tornado of May which shut down their mining museum. We are moving the car to 5 Mile Childrens Camp where it will be part of a greeting center along with a depot. The caboose has a top placed on it but not attached like that of a hi vis caboose but the interior roof is not raised and the bay windows are intact with the chairs in place. I am going to restore the car to its original condition but need to locate identifying numbers and their locations.
    Thank You
    Tom

Tom, I'm pretty sure that the Frisco built their bay-window cabooses (1700's) in their shops in Springfield. There's a lot of info on them in one of the later FMIG newsletters recently posted on frisco.org along with an HO model kitbash article. Doug

Tom; Is this the BN painted caboose number 11710? Somebody got carried away when they put the cupola on that. Good luck in restoring it.
