Finally got started! The first FA is now black, awaiting new Oddballs decals. The "red" paint is a try to match the " Texas Special" cars by MTH. It doesn't look to bad, eh?? I took a clue from Don Wirth, and bought the duplicolor primer for caboose red, then decided to try a can of red that I had to touch up my old Festiva! Not too bad! What ya think, guys?

As one who complains about shades of red (really red/orange) a lot, your Frisco red passenger car color looks pretty good to me!

Thanks, Ken. As I plan on doing quite a bit of repainting, knowing that I can do it without running up competition for the National debt, is a real break! Those Polly-s paints are out of sight! As soon as I get the FA's done, the E-8 will get striped down, sanded, then a new coat of red will be applied. Looks like I'll have to work on fab-ing up my own decals for the " racehorse" look. I may do the middle yellow stripe version. I think I can make my own by blowing up an O-scale set, then print them on decal stock. I have a couple of HO sets left over from HO modeling, but I dont think the color will work out for copying/blowing up. Ah, yes, more uncharted territory! But, I always do enjoy the adventure!
    Regards,
    Dan:)
