I was successful in programming my switching units to have both front and rear heatlights on at the same time. These units have a TCS A6X decoder installed in them and the information was not in the manual that came with the decoder. I had to go to the TCS website under "Literature" and "Additional Programming Guide" to find the information. Once I found the information I had to interpret what they were saying and do some trial and error. This is what worked . . . CV49 needs to be "40" (front headlight constantly on) CV50 needs to be "40" (rear headlight constantly on) Hope this saves you some time. Ship IT on the Frisco! Rick
Rick: Is there a "Prototypical reason for having both the headlights on at the same time? I do not understand why this was done. Just curious. Bob
Yes, I have seen the Lenexa switch crew keep both lights on. It would probably be a real pain to turn the lights on and off each time you changed directions on the prototype. Ship IT Rick
Rick: Are you certain both headlights were full brightness. If they were not you will want to program your headlights with rule 17 lighting so that both headlights are aways on but when changing directions the opposite headlight dims automatically. If that is not how they did it then this is a mute point. Bob
