MY HOBBY IS RESEARCHING AND THIS IS HOW I FOUND YOUR WEB PAGE. RIGHT NOW I AM RESEARCHING THE FRISCO TRANSPORTATION CO. THERE IS VERY LITTLE INFORMATION ON THE SUBJECT WHICH SURPRISES ME BECAUSE THERE IS SO MUCH ON THE RAILROAD. I AM FINDING SOME INFORMATION AND WHEN I GET IT FINISHED I WILL SHARE IT WITH YOU. I AM STILL LEARNING HOW TO NAVIGATE YOU WEB PAGE, I AM A SLOW LEARNER. THANKS
Welcome to the site. There is a lot of information here. Take your time, browse, and do not feel shy to ask questions. As a friendly reminder, ALL CAPS, mean that you are YELLING, so use little letters where possible, unless trying to emphasize a point. It's also easier on the eyes to read lower case. Again, welcome and enjoy! Manny
Thanks, I am looking forward to learning more about the site. I got used to using all caps I guess I am to lazy to worry about using shift key.
smartly reaseacher glad to see you researching FTC. I look forward to reading your research. I was an employee of FTC for several years in the late 50's, all thru the 60's & the mid to late 70's. Most of my work was in or out of Springfield, including the Chase Street Terminal & the General office when it was located in the East end of the train station & then in the new Frisco building on East Chestnut Street Trafficway. I suppose you found that FTC operated Highway Post Office units from St. Louis to Memphis & Memphis to Tupelo, Miss. & from Oklahoma City to certain cities in Texas. Also, that it operated a bus service, mostly around Ft, Leonard Wood, mo. I have photos of the FTC Trailways buses & color photos of two FTC tractor Trailer units. The photos were taken by a professional,so the are good quality! Again, I look forward to reading your research & hope you can publish it on this site.
