On Friday night myself, my dad and my oldest boy and his girlfriend got invited to Vic Smiths house for a small gathering. Vic’s city scene layout is one of the most famous model railroads there is. It’s been featured in everything. If you aren’t familiar please google it. He is also a Frisco fan. Enjoy a few pics but check it out online. You will recognize it.
A few more. What is incredible is every inch has mini scenes. Every window has a different story in each building.
Saturday night was at Ken Patterson’s. The podcast involved 3 generations of the Hurt family as a teaser! I did my interview at the event about 1700 as well.
As if I wasn’t already short, fat, bald and ugly I broke a tooth this week and my jaw is swelled up. Best face forward right? LOL
Steve, about how many people were at the RPM Event? Was there a N Track club there called the NEONS? They are from Tulsa and I go to some of their meetings. Joe
About 650 paid attendees I think Joe. I’m not sure on model count. There was a N scale club but I have no idea what club it was.
I think it was the "MODUTRAK" group. https://www.modutrak.com/ Sorry to hear about the tooth, Steve. Thanks again for hooking me up with a WNTW hat! I will post some of my acquisitions when they come in (shipped by vendor). -Bob T.
My pleasure Bob!! I’ll get you a new color next year. Ha Not to be too graphic but my tooth broke, they tried to pull it and it’s broke below my gum line now. Ugghhhhh
@modeltruckshop, Steve, did you happen to see Stephen Priest and his Class One ModelWorks TFW10 Well Car?
If Stephen was there I never saw him Keith. I expected to. But I never saw him. Do you know if he made trip? Or maybe just going to NMRA convention in a week?
