    |-|Greeings all,
I would like to decal a B30-7 and I noticed in some photos that some (all?)
had the letters XR in Black, on the front of the units. I have found decals from several decal mfgr's but none that I have noticed have the XR's included.
    Any help would be appreciated.

    Tom -

Assuming you are talking about doing a Frisco U30BXR in HO scale, Tom Stolte's OddBalls Decals Set 187-137 is what you need. This will do SLSF 846, which was the Frisco's only U30BXR with the "XR" logo applied to the frame sides below the cab.

This "XR" U-boat series was not the later B30-7 model, but were U30B's in an improved "extra reliability" (XR) series. SLSF 846 was the 2500th "U-Series" locomotive built by GE for US railroad service, and was the first unit GE produced of the improved "XR" series. It came to the Frisco in May, 1973. The later B30-7's came to the Frisco in December, 1977, the first unit being SLSF 863.

The XR series logo in the OddBalls set is indeed in black with a fine white outline.

Your 100% right, I guess I didn't look at the photo close enough in my book now all I have to do is come up with a U30B !!.
    Thanks
