From Richard Crabtree on Frisco Rails Across Missouri: Here we see Frisco No. 50 2-10-2 Santa Fe Class built by Baldwin Locomotive Works in 1917 at the Frisco North Shops & Yards in Springfield, Missouri just north of Historic C-Street (Commercial Street), April 11th 1937. In 1940 she would be rebuilt as No. 4412 4-8-2 Heavy Mountain Class in the Springfield West Shops.
Some images really should not be messed with IMHO. A very powerful and capable looking loco, wonder what kind of legs it had with that coal, and tender capacity? No dog house on these? Yep, the Red hat needs to go.
