    Here's a dandy:

    Footnoted in the ORER:

"Individual numbers of cars in series 85000 to 85999 equipped with side doors and differing in A.A. R. Mech. Designation and cubical capacity from other cars in same series; A.A. R. Mech. Designation GD, width of side door openings 2 ft . 6 in., height of side door openings 2 ft., capacity 1,726 cubic feet."

Now...to figure out what's up with the sawhorse in the gon.

Believe you mean the overhead crane above the track in the distance.

Most likely it is part of the RIP track facilities for lifting the end of a car for truck or wheel set replacement. Otherwise suspect it is located at an adjacent team track for loading / unloading freight.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks!

Yep, that’s it-and thanks for identifying, Mark. It darn near looks like it’s sitting in the car.
