I would like to know what trains were scheduled through Carthage, MO from 1978 to the merger with the Big Nothin'. Does anyone have this info?
Sorry it took me 2 months to see this message. I have information for 1977, but nothing specific for 1978-1980. However, I do know that 330 & 337 operated right up to the merger. They are listed in the 3-08-80 train log from the January 1981 TRAINS article. I do not know when 335/336 were cut off. Thanks for the info, Ted. This confirms what I thought the level of business was like during the time period you indicate. Does anyone know what type of traffic (origin, destination) was handled by 335/336?
