Ha ha. No worries, Manny. I'm only a night or two away from having the track work completed on my Brownwood module. N scale is just me getting a "little" on the side. Pun intended. It's early era HO scale Frisco for my main squeeze.
First car in the new and improved stances. Now included are brake wheel platform, air release valve, NBW's on grab irons, better scaling of NBW's, Pre-1911 Safety Act grab iron arrangements. Also better prototypical placement of grab irons. The Foreman Car...
Finished up all the details on the car and she received her coat of paint. With the roof simply sitting on top, she's taking shape. I won't do anything until tomorrow to allow the paint to dry. She'll receive a gloss cote shot and then on Thursday, decals will commence. I anticipate her being finished Monday or Tuesday next week.
Nice work. I like the corner braces, NBWs and brake gear castings especially. Sure is a shorty! What was this particular car's purpose?
Thanks Jim. Originally a 25' steam tender, the tender was wrecked, and so the MOW Dept robbed the frame to build a car for the foreman of workers assigned to the work train. Here, the foreman maintains all train orders, schedules, records, communiques, schedules, etc., for his duties. The Superintendent has a similar car. Assigned to each Foreman and Superintendent Car is a MOW dedicated stock car to carry their horses in. That's what will be built next.
MW 101 Foreman Car is completed. Thinking of adding a rerail frog, but I don't know when they started to be used, so I'm holding off on that.
